SCI Student Staff

We have some new faces here at the Sustainable Cities Initiative, and we’d like to extend a big “welcome!” to all of our student staff.

Kerry Edinger

Kerry Edinger is the SCYP Program Support Graduate Employee, currently working toward her Master of Public Administration. Her background is in statewide political and legislative advocacy, most recently serving as the Legislative Assistant to Oregon Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins. Kerry is inspired by the opportunity to improve quality of life for all Oregonians by making their communities more livable, sustainable, and connected. On the weekends, you’ll find Kerry climbing, hiking, and cooking vegan food to fuel her adventures.

Marshall Curry

Marshall, the SCYP Report Editor, is currently a candidate for a Master of Public Administration. Marshall received his BA in Sociology from Willamette University in 2013, and worked for nonprofits in Salem, Oregon. While in undergrad he researched innovative sustainable pedagogy in higher education, including SCI. Marshall is inspired by SCYP students willing to put their homework to good use supporting Oregon municipalities, and even more so by the municipalities' staff willing to trust students with such important work! In his free time, he reads liberation pedagogy and theology.

Maya Krolikowski

Maya Krolikowski is an SCI Graduate Employee helping with both Urbanism Next and Sustainable Urban Design Framework research initiatives. Maya was inspired to collaborate with SCI  because of her passions in sustainable urban design and her aspirations to be an environmentally-conscious architect. Between SCI and being a design student in the Portland Masters of Architecture program, Maya enjoys running, biking, cooking and rowing on the Willamette River.

Ana Misenas

Ana was hired as SCI's graphic designer. Ana spent the last five years working in New York City, at a private architecture firm. She then decided to move to the west coast to pursue a Master's in Architecture from the University of Oregon.

Marisol Cervantes

Marisol Cervantes is the SCI Undergraduate Program Support Employee. She is majoring in Planning, Public Policy and Management and plans to stay in the Pacific Northwest after graduation in 2018. She chose to apply to work at SCI after being inspired by the Sustainable City Year Program, which promotes projects that implement sustainable development at the local level. When she's not working or studying, Marisol spends her time at a Crossfit box or catching up on Netflix shows.

Chloe Meyere

Chloe is a University of Oregon Senior. She joined the SCI team as the Press and Communications Coordinator in September 2016. She was inspired by their mission to design and implement sustainable progress at a local level, and was eager to put her inner communications nerd to work for a cause she believes in. This spring, Chloe will graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Chloe is also an activist, a writer,  and an avid traveler. When she is not at SCI or buried in books at the science library, Chloe enjoys explOregon-ing with friends and reading.
