On goals and vision for EPIC-N:
“This year I am supporting future-thinking universities and their partners to provide applied learning for their students. I work to develop both the quantity and quality of EPIC-N programs in the U.S. and abroad.
I hope to see the results of the EPIC-N model at work far into the future. The trajectory of the organization is to become a thought leader in how to break through the “silos” created around our universities through its unique form of fostering partnerships. EPIC-N universities listen deeply to their communities to address the real, expressed needs--working mutually rather than prescriptively.”
On SCI:
“I am enthusiastic about working at SCI because our work challenges what it means to work in academia. In addition to EPIC-N, SCYP and Urbanism Next are transforming sustainability pedagogy and our cities through applied research, incorporating student vision, and facilitating long-term projects with real impacts.”
On life outside:
If you Google “Marshall Curry,” you’ll quickly discover he shares his name with an accomplished documentary filmmaker, but our Marshall Curry is no less interesting. He’s a workflow enthusiast, and he uses the time it takes for bread to proof before baking it as study time. When he’s not nerding out about great time management, he’s often playing team sports (although he’s also working on being a triathlete...maybe a try-athlete?) or hanging out with his cat, Hunter.
