EPIC-N’s vision is to help accelerate local adoption and deployment of policies and practices that advance the environmental and social good. Our key approach toward meeting this goal is to help harness existing resources within higher education in a more purposeful and directive way so that current knowledge turns into practice, the next generation workforce and leadership gets trained with applied experiences, municipal staff gets re-trained, and a diversity of community stakeholders engage substantively along the way.
EPIC-N carries out this mission in three primary ways:
- Expand the number and types of universities adopting and adapting the EPIC Framework;
- Support peer to peer learning of existing programs to enhance program effectiveness and community impact;
- Provide opportunities for selected national organizations with similar value orientations to disseminate their content through our network, reaching both communities and classrooms and paired with the EPIC-N delivery mechanism that helps translate knowledge to practice with community partners.
We are thrilled to have the following sponsors for our 2016 national conference:
If you would like to be a sponsor of EPIC-N as a whole, an additional sponsor of our conference, sponsor a regional specialized workshop, or get involved in some other way, please contact University of Oregon Development Director David Frazee Johnson or contact SCI Co-Directors Marc Schlossberg and Nico Larco.
